New goldfish and one is sick/Infected

Hi,
I got three goldfish for xmas and noticed one is spending alot of time at the bottom of the tank. The other two are fine all are eating but one doesnt seem to want to do much.
I have just notived a little type of bug on its tail which is obviously affecting it. The bug is a grey type colour very small attached to his fin. Anybody know what this is? Whats the best treatment and will it kill my fish?
I am a complete novice as i only have the fish about 5days and was given them as a present.
Cheers,
Rob

Sorry I also forgot to mention that this goldfish in fact has a slight lump on its back were my other two dont seem to have any defects and look fine, not sure if this is also part of the problem.

What type of goldfish are they? especially the one that is not doing so well. The thing on its tail could be some sort of parasite, but it's hard to know for sure without seeing the fish in person or a picture of the affected area. Do you know where the fish came from? (i.e. pet store, someone's pond etc..).

Ok I have tried to take a picture of him in the fish tank, picture quality is not great but hope you can make out what type of gold fish he is and what the little bug type thing is on his tail. Also havea look at the little lump on its back not sure if this is a problem for him also.
he did eat his food this morning but once finished again just returned to the bottom corner of the tank.
