Temporary tank for Shubunkin Goldfish

I have a Shubunkin Goldfish in 1 gallon fish bowl.  I know I need to get it in an aquarium ASAP!  What could I temporarily put her in while I get an aquarium up on running?  She's about 4 1/2 inches and pretty big around.  Please advise.  Thank You!

Welcome to the forum. Ok. No offense but why on earth do you have a shubunkin in a bowl in the first place??! You can keep her in a large plastic tub, around 25 gallons if you have one. Filtration is just as/more important than space, so get a powerful canister or power filter ASAP. When buying a tank for a large shubunkin get the absolute largest that you can afford, I wouldn't put her in anything less than 50 gallons.

Edit- change the water daily until you get her a filter.

I think Cheri's covered everything  Smiley so please take the advice above.

May I ask how long have you had the shubunkin in the bowl?

I definitely agree with cheri, a big plastic tub would be much, much better than the bowl if you can find one! And a 45-50 gallon tank should be nice enough for the shubunkin for the time being.

Thank you for the advice. Advise taken! The goldfish was a gift and the only thing I had to put her in was a fish bowl. She live there for 3 days.  She has a much bigger place now.  Thank You.

It is a 10 gallon. With all the other fish stuff I had to buy that is all I could afford. I will get a bigger one later.  She seems to be doing well.  I do a 50% water change every week.
