problem with the tail

hi everybody,
my goldfish started to show a damage in the tail and tail connection with the body as in the attached photo. in addition, about two days ago a black spot (dot) appeared on its mouth upper lip.
i have checked the water parameters and it seems fine.

please help

If I were you I'd just perform a 50% water change Smiley That usually helps!

You could go look for a water conditioner by Easylife called "fluid bio filter media", I usually add this whenever my fish have gotten hurt or something, it works really well as a first aid Smiley

thank you Nossie for your advice...
by the way the water in the picture is green because i added Tetra general aid....it is not dirty Grin
i will try this first aid, but i suspect of fin rot presense in my tank, not only ammonia or nitrate burn.
now, i have added about 16 tea spoon of salt to the 180 LT tank in addition to the fin rot medcine from Pimafix

It's always good to err on the safe side! Just keep the water quality perfect Smiley Meaning, max nitrates on 30-40 ppm.
Did you do a water change before you added the medicine?

yes i did.
also, today i performed 25% water change and i will add another medicine which is SERA baktopur tablets.

I have an idea. Do you have any deco that could do a little damage? Or a tankmate who may nibble? This happened to one of my goldies.
The nibbler was another same-strain goldfish. A little smaller, too.
If there's deco, run a finger over all of it to be sure it's smooth.
Sandpaper and a good rinse works for me to get rid of edges when I buy deco.
If it was nibbled/torn, just watch for fin rot. Oh, and if it does occur, try to do water changes regardless of how the water looks. Water changes solve lots more than seems possible.
The black dot... just watch it and use medicine.

Great! I use the Sera Bactopur as well! Great results everytime Smiley Are you sure you can combine them with the other medicine though? We do have the Tetra brand around here, but I've not ever bought their medications...

Allover, it looks relatively good on the picture, so you're definitely starting to treat in time. Be sure to follow the instructions until the end of the treatment period.
