The "fish hoarder" welcomes SINDBAD

Hello again to everybody
lol, the "fish hoarder" has been in action again.
We introduce SINDBAD.
He seems to be a teeny, not fully grown yet. But brave too, he had a healthy poo during transport, now he settles in his new home a 7 l tank, gravel, stones, some plants ( will add more ) and a log to sleep in or hide.
He explored everything straight away and after half an hour he ate with a giant appetite.
.... gee... could have bought all bettas there sitting in a false teeth sized jar...

My gosh Hanna, when will you stop
Soon you will own all the fish in your area
Hehe he is gorgeous, you have some of the most beautiful fighting fish. I'm getting even more excited for mine, I definitely want a crown tail! So is he gonna be all by himself obviously? Or are you planning on moving him?

Andrea: Hey, I wanted to ask for a few days now, how it's going with your fish?
How is Clementine doing?

Thank you both, lol, Nossie he is handsome this little guy, Andrea I dunno when I'll stop, this actually was Brian's desire to have a red beauty and I couldn't resist either.
Sindbad will stay by himself as he is not used to company like Barbarossa. The 7 l would be too small anyway for more fish and as it is a betta tank there is no filter either, so I will have to change the water every 2nd or 3rd day... keep testing, etc

She's going so incredibly well Nossie. Thankyou for asking, I'm sooo happy
She has her only little personality and way of swimming, it's very cute
She is also such a guts haha! I have my final assessment for uni next Wednesday, will hopefully move her sometime after that as I am incredibly stressed and busy at the moment. I will of course post photos when Sunshine and Clementine are together. I'm just treating Sunshine with a bit of fin rot that's why I've been waiting again.

Hope your Sunshine is getting better, our Sunshine is dealing with a bit of fin rot too. Must have been a bit too much stress for her when we replaced the tank. But she is acting fine, eating, pooping, wiggling, etc.
I'll keep fingers crossed for your final assessment

Hi Hanna,
You have an eye for picking gorgeous fish that's for sure. Your new guy is sure a handsome fellow indeed!
Andrea, Nossie and Hanna,
I hope you don't mind me writing here and telling you that Blossom, my new oranda died last night.
She broke out in ich the day after I brought her home and she had labored breathing and showed signs of weakness. I treated her the last 3 days but she was just too weak.
I called the store and told them and they were really nice about it and very sorry. I called them as soon as I discovered the ich so they could quickly treat the fish that were in the tank with her. I told them I thought she had a bacterial infection too. When I called today they said they were treating the tank mate fish and they were doing better.
I'm very sad but I know she wasn't healthy enough to withstand treatment and i did all I could for her. Anyway, the next week I'll be setting up my new tank for Tony and a "friend" for him and the rest of my tropicals. Hubby went and bought me a 29g tank and I ordered some stuff I needed for it so I'll have to wait until it all comes now.

LOL Minde, you do, hahaha.
Your Hubby is awesome, going out to get you another tank
... so is mine, because it was him first who fell in love with Sindbad at the store. He said to me: Have a look isn't he gorgeous?... and I looked and nodded, looked at hubby and all was set: we got him... lol

Minde: I'm so sad to hear that
Poor Blossom
But I guess things are sorting out a bit after all... you're getting a new friend for that extra fish
Although, I can't help but wonder if he's the one that gave ich to Blossom. Loaches are usual carriers of those parasites, so you might want to keep an eye on him for a while.

Aw I'm sorry to hear about that Mindemae
You really tried with her but I imagine she was too sick anyway. It's a lovely thing what you did for the store, I would never think of that!
Nossie: Yeah I'm very happy. I'm a bit worried about putting her in the big tank, I can just tell she is a destroyer
Haha, she goes crazy sucking on the fake plants in the small tank. She got so into it the other day, she nearly went upside down trying to get the right spot
And these are fake plants!! Also she loves to re-arrange the gravel, not just with her mouth but digging her whole body into it. Gotta love her

Awwww so is Hepsiba, she just diggs in the gravel head down, butt up, then she swimms a few inches along spitting out a "fountain" of gravel... the whole tank re-arranged... and she is a bloody good teacher for the others, lol

Andrea: That's so sweet!
Nah, don't worry about the big tank
My fish are nuts about all the live plants but they're not breaking anything
No matter how crazy and violent it looks sometimes xD

It's a fish store and he sells saltwater, freshwater/tropicals, and of course my favorite goldfish.
Here's his website:

I'm not sure Fish Man ships anything. I will ask him on my day off.
We go to his fish store once in a while and look at his fish.
By the way I bookmarked a few websites that sells goldfish.

Thank you April, yes I could get all the bettas I see in those tiny jars. I got him a nice bowl with an UG filter designed for bowls, so there is a tad of water circulation, also got him a lucky bamboo today.
I hope too, Minde that all settled at your place, always so sad to lose sbdy ...

Update on Sindbads home.
I got a small UG filter and rescaped his bowl. He is happy as Larry and his water stays nice and clean.
I feel better to give him a water with a little circulation and aeration in it... even if he's able to breathe atmospheric air...
And this morning when I got up to feed all my fishies, he swam to the front and WIGGLED
... he must have seen our goldies wiggling...
