API test kit

I bought a new API PH test kit today and to my surprise the glass test  tube was missing Huh
I dunno if they will believe me if I take it back Undecided
So I want to know if the test tube that comes with the Ammonia test kit is the same as the one that comes in the PH test kit?
Or are they different?

They shouldn't be different, but IMO if you buy the MasterTestKit which contains ALL four tests ( Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, pH ( low and high range), you get more value for your money compared with buying every single test by itself.

I think they sort of have to believe you, if you have your receipt and you bring the product back. Customer service. My dad broke one of mine  Roll Eyes Ha, wish you could buy spares somewhere.

Andrea, most LFS sell spare ones, maybe the chains don't. I bought spare ones here from the local LFS.

I broke one too, it slipped off the top of my tank! Well I kind of bumped it off...lol
I have never seen any spares but I will have a look next time I am at the LFS.
Last time I had to buy a whole new kit to get another one Sad

Lol, I broke one too a few weeks ago... so went to the LFS and just asked... and yep, no worries they sell spare ones.
If yours doesn't you can try to get some test tubes at the pharmacy? And an eyedropper or a syringe and you can fill it with the amount of water required and do the test as usual Smiley

I like the API test tubes because of the flat base and snug top. With the Hagen set, the tubes are much like typical lab ones with rounded base and the caps don't always sit properly. When you shake it the stuff goes everywhere...maybe it's just me with too much enthusiasm shaking LOL  Roll Eyes
