   put Coco back in the tank from the medi-bucket after 5 days, and look, both pectoral fins are flapping away! His tail doesn't look quite as bad either!  Grin

Glad to see little Coco is getting better. How is his appetite? Is he interested in food?

Glad to see little Coco is getting better. How is his appetite? Is he interested in food?
   thanks! His appetite seems fine, he went for the pellets earlier with normal interest. I am noticing as the day goes on that the others tend to pick at him, maybe he's been getting picked on this whole time and been stressed and injured from that.....Also his dorsal fin is down all the time, all the others have theirs up.....we'll see how it all plays out. High drama in the tank!  Cheesy

Be careful that the picking of the tank mates won't hurt him! It could be that he still has some little wound left or something from his previous injury/disease, so his neighbours think he's tasty :'D

He does look cheerful.  I saw him and your other goldfish swim by at the beginning, and the first thing that popped into my head was "fish parade!!"

Be careful that the picking of the tank mates won't hurt him! It could be that he still has some little wound left or something from his previous injury/disease, so his neighbours think he's tasty :'D
yeah, you know, I put him back in the medi-bucket, started seeing the redness return at the base of his fin again and he wasn't using it as much, so he's in for another 5 days, then we'll see. It'd be nice if he ended up all healthy and normal, I like his contrast with the other fish, but they really do seem to peck at him and he's always running off and hovering in some upper corner..... Sad

Hi,
When I watch the video of Coco, I'm sorry but I don't see a healthy fish, but a weakened one that is struggling against the water circulation in the tank.  The rest swim strong but poor Coco is struggling.  Glad you put him back in the bucket.  Add salt, it's great to help gill function and provide some electrolytes.  Also add water conditioner.
You might have to keep him separated until he gains his strength.  I think that is why the others pick on him,...he's the weakest in the tank.  Law of nature... Sad

   you called it, he's the runt, no doubt. seems to be doing ok back in the bucket, back to using both pectoral fins, but I'm afraid I may have to change his name to "Tiny Tim"
   He's about half through with the second round of Maracyn and I have added the aquarium salt and a bit of beneficial bacteria juice as well.....if I hadn't made the 10 gallon starter tank this whole thing started with into a tropical tank (which finally cycled  Grin after the nitrite spike killed of a third of the original population  Embarrassed) I'd put hime in there and let him get bigger and some vitality if he is going to, but I'm hesitant to mix him in with those darty little mollys, guppys and tetras, so I hope he can get his fins together.....
