I got an adorable answer on a food thread in the second forum I'm actively visiting! Thought I'd post it here for the lulz (By the way, we need some sort of section for funny things in this forum!)

Goldfish food rules:
1. I will eat all the food as fast as possible, regardless of the effects of gulping large air bubbles.
2. I will stare at you ALL day begging for food. And if you put more in, I will eat it, see #1.
3. If it is small enough to fit in my mouth, I will attempt to eat it.
3a.If it fits in my mouth, and there is more than one of it, I should eat them all at once.
4. If it is too big for my mouth, I will probably attempt to eat it anyway.
5. If it is exactly the size of my mouth , I will continue to keep trying to eat it, no matter how many times it gets stuck.
6. If it is green, I will attempt to eat it.
7. If it has a shell, I will eat the shell too. If I can't, I will find a way to get the food out of the shell.
8. If it has tasty appendages, I will bite them off.
9. If I don't know what it is, I"ll try to eat it, just on the off chance.
9a. Even if I just tried it and spit it out, it still might be food. I will try it.
10. If I'm not supposed to eat it, I will eat it. Especially if you spent lots of money on it.

This is a trick I use when I go to get another fish.  After they are in the bag I hold the bag up to the light and look real close for any ploblems, torn fins, breathing problems, fungus, ich etc....if the fish doesn't look right then I have them put it back and choose another one from a different tank!  Sometimes I bring my trusty magnifying glass with me!
I started doing this because I hate the heartbreak of fish dying after you get them home.  if they are already sick then the stress of a new environment makes them even sicker!!  I just feel so bad when they die...
