Transporting Goldfish

My family and I are possibly moving soon and I just wanted some advice on how to transport my fantail goldfish for 50 min?

If you have a bag from the pet shop left, you could fill that with 1/3 water and 2/3 air. close it tightly, and wrap the bag in newspaper, which will both isolate the fish from cold temperatures, and keep it calm. You should also try to save a few buckets of tank water so that you won't have to cycle the tank again. About half of it would be good!

Here my few cents towards it: Also keep your filte media humid, so the beneficial bacteria won't die. Same with the gravel: put in in a plastic bag after you slightly rinsed it in left over tank water.

When you arrive at the new place the aquarium set up has priority so you can release the fish out of the bag ( also during transport place the bag in a cardboard box which is just big enough to hold it nicely upright )

When my Niece transported her goldfish to my place, she didn't save the water and it has been challenging to balance everything all out but we're almost there Cheesy Great advice Nossie and Hanna, keep as much water as possible - the details with transportation and the filter media and gravel being kept wet too is so smart and makes sense!
