Pearl scales are very sensitive to swim bladder issues caused by constipation, so be sure to soak all pelleted foods you feed him/her and also to give lots of vegetables and live foods

Dont give your pearscale food for 1-3 days and then feed peas and problem should be solved.

Thats great the problem is solved xD
But it can re-occur. One of my fish had it on and off for a few months
I found peas to be very effective. I used frozen peas - which I thawed out and removed the shell before feeding.

Yes, peas are very effective! Just like Abbie said. Also, I think I read that you can use freeze-dried brine shrimp. Not sure though, as I've never tested it, but worth a try maybe?

Keeping some Epsom salt in stock could be useful too
Got 1kg of it myself! xD
It works as a muscle relaxant and laxative.

What would be the amount introduced into a tank? I mean how mush epsom salt should be added into a 10G tank for instance? I am just asking to know in future.

The dose is 1/4 tsp per gallon of water.
Also, increasing the temperature in the tank can help up to 80 degrees F.
I also drop pieces of epsom salt in front of my fish and try to get them to eat a piece or two.

My E-salt is more like fine crystals, almost like sugar, so I feel like it might be harder to feed to goldfish for various reasons, however, it won't hurt trying I guess
