urgent question ??????????????

i have a just noticed 1 of my goldfish is missing i mean no sign wht so ever i have been feeding them 1-2 times a day and just noticed oh bugga im missing 1  i lifted all the ornements out to check and he/she was not to be found for love nor money i have asked my family and they said they not been near my fish tank what so ever so im curious as to where on earth it has gone is it possible tht the other fish could have eaten it but there is no sign of any remains Huh? i have got a pearlscale a blue oranda was 6 now 5 commets 2 shubumpkins 2 loaches and 2 common gold fish so is it possible that the rest have eaten 1 of my commets HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh?? cheers neekay

Comet and common goldfish have a tendency to jump out of the water at times if there is no cover or hood on the aquarium or fish bowl.  The cover or hood provides a number of functions including cutting down on evaporation, providing light for the aquarium, stopping the occasional water splashes from affecting your carpet  , and  preventing the fish from jumping out of the tank. 

Another possibility is that , if you have a power filter, it could have sucked the fish into the intake vent. I would check that also.

If you have a cat, make sure it is not able to get to the fish ( an aquarium hood would prevent this).

it has 2 covers a glass cover and also a wooden cover  and  the only gap there is is so ridiculousy tight and at such a queer angle if it jumped thru tht n tht gap i wud go pray lol   also i don't have a cat and the 2 filters i have have nets in front of them so the holes are so small  it wudn't suck em thru  i have checked all around my tank just in case it did get thru n there is nothing wht so ever  so if i did jump out it must have grew legs lol please reply

none of my family been anywhere near my room  no other pets other than fish is it actually possible that they could have eaten it but then i wud have thought there would have been any or some left over i wouldn't have thought that  they could or would have eaten anything and i would have thought it would stain or cloudy the water ??

This is a strong one but I'm sorry to hear about your loss.  I just got 4 new comet goldfish last night
and this morning I found one of my little guys under a rock, trapped.  He had a bit of yellow on the
bottom of his belly.

I believe he might of got hurt when he was in the tank at walmart, poor guy.

Anyways again sorry for your loss.  Maybe he got under the little rocks but yes I do hope you find him.

i have searched high n low i have had all the ornements out and i have re arranged my bed room i can not find it for love nor money   he is no where i have no other pets and my window hasn't been open  incase i baird got in but then the cover was over my tank so no way of anything getting in or out HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh? and im not crazy i did ave 2 red n white comets so the only thing i can think is tht  i have some canibal fish  lol

Sounds like your fish went on a permanent vacation and his tank mates helped him!
Were all the fish about the same size or were there some much bigger than others?
In fish world, I'm sorry to say but the bigger fish do eat the smaller ones sometimes.
If you read the ingredients on the food you feed your fish...well goldfish are not particular of what kind or brand of fish they eat and probably the fresher the better.  Sad  Sorry for your loss.
