What size tank do you have?

I would strongly suggest you getting a 20 gallon when you can. Those fish will grow. A lot. as pretty as your tank is, 1-2 inches quickly grows into 4 or 5 inches, ad by then its too uncomfortable. I know some people have heard that 'goldfish will grow to match their coontainer' but you have to remember, they were once wild, and didnt have containers. One more thing mankind has done to eff up the planet.

I agree with Mindemae and Katarine, you will need a bigger tank, averadge rule 10gallons per fish. And I speak out of experience, not only because I read this rule all the time in some threads.

Eventually you'll browse through other posts on here, but I'll mention shortly that we bought our 2 GF and they live in a 10 gallon tank. Lately we had a few problems because they grew and the tank became OVERSTOCKED: Some time the water got cloudy, later the pH was not stable. I managed to recognize the problem very quick, the only thing to keep our fishies healthy is frequent waterchanges, about 15% every 4th day until the big tank (we finished the set up yesterday) is ready to have our fish put in. We only have our fishies since March this year, they were small, about 2 inches , max. Now they are min 3 times as big.
