Hi Acamp,
As a newbie myself, I understand about wanting to get nice fish, but before you go out and spend more money, I have to agree about the bigger aqaurium. I didn't do my research in the beginning, lost fish, bought more only to have them die as well. That's when I started researching on line to figure out what in the world I was doing wrong. I still didn't do enough research, made some more mistakes along the way, but really enjoying this hobby, purchased a bigger aquarium and told myself "we are going to do this right this time." I joined this forum as well as another and have learned so much in just the past two months and feel much more confindent in what I'm doing. Intial start up of this hobby is not cheap-nice aquarium + stand, gravel, plants, chemicals, test kit, it all adds up but once you're all set up, it's worth it

Since I've gotten into this, I can't read enough, it's like I want more and more info so I can do this the right way. If you really want more fish, you may want to reseach other types of fish that can go into your 5 gallon until you can move up to the bigger size aquarium and then get the fish of your dreams.
