fish eating fish

I have a gold fish that is at least 10 years old and about 5inches long.  I recently lost two of the other older fish (about the same size).  I bought 4 small goldfish.  Every Monday morning when I come into work - I have one less fish.  Can't find it!!!  Would the larger one eat the smaller one?

That's pretty possible, as long as they'd fit into his mouth! Wink
The best thing would be to buy some bigger goldfish to live with him, so that they wouldn't get eaten Smiley
You could also try getting some thick forest of plants in the back of the tank for the newbies to hide in Smiley

My freind has 10 canilope sized goldfish he tries to get more they are eaten so yeah they were probably eaten.

look out for cats

i had my feeding lid open that is about 1.5 inches long and 1 inch wide and my cat got my 2 - 3 inch fish Cry
