I'm so glad to hear about Mr. Tailer
To think that you managed to take such good care of him that he started growing like this! Wonderful

Thank you Nossie
I wonder what my Niece will say when she sees him now
Yes, I believe there is an invisible sign that hangs on the front of the house that only animals in need can see...It must read 'nothing but gravy served here - apply within' LOL

"from my cold dead hands" she will have to pry my beloved Mr. Tailer LOL I just hope she will learn that with time and patience and above all else LOVE! she could have success too. Alas, some don't get it and look at fish as less a priority than say a dog or cat. I can't even bring myself to kill an insect if they wander into my home. Into the glass you go and the **** out the front door you go bahahahah! I know...lame he he he

Most likely!
When she'll see how beautiful he's become, I'm sure she'll want to manage with the same herself
I had a BIG spider climbing my leg yesterday o_o Unlucky for me, my fiance doesn't like insects, so he could barely bring himself to brush it off of me! x'D I don't mind bugs, but it's not that nice having them climb on you, and I'd rather not kill them either c:

Big like... 3 cm across @_@ *legs included* He was in the shower with me a few weeks ago :'D
They're just a tad creepy when they're... crawling around on me :C They're so fast!!
Btw, we don't have too big spiders here due to the cold climate c: Any bugs are in fact really small...

LOL, Nossie, those "pidies" only 3cm in diameter are babies, they don't worry me anymore, must see the size of them here

Have a look at the big pic of that Huntsman spider, this is a smaller size, most times they are a tad bigger. A thing like that bit me once, remember?

OMG were you injured from that bite Hanna? I'm sorry I can't bring myself to look the link (such a wuss LMAO) Spider bites are grim though and you live in a part of the world where they can be deadly right? I showed that pic of your little beastie you caught the other day in the tank to a friend who is assists an entomologist. She believes it to be of the dragonfly family.

Lol, April, I only was sick for a week and sore on a spot where I sit on
and the spider died after it bit me...
But you can have a look at that link, in the end it is very informative.
That other insect, yes looks like a baby dragon fly, but it was funny how it swam in the tank.

Hah, yep, they're really small c:
But like I said, they don't bother me the slightest, I'm not scared of any bugs unless they're on me, or I happen to touch them without being prepared to d:
When I was in Poland I had to chase out two big grasshoppers because the rest of the peeps in the house I lived in couldn't handle them
They were a whole lot bigger than the ones here xD Ours grow to be at the very maximum 2.5cm while the ones there in Poland were both 6cm!

Still leaving that water alone and besides the tattered tail edge, Tailer is hims usual Captain Shitacular self
Water is excellent zero nitrites and false ammonia results tapering off finally phew! Won't be long before my little man moves on over to the big apartment where he can sit back in a cozy finchair sippin' some suds and shouting at the sports on the telly with his old lady!

Oh and picked up the Seachem Prime product but the store didn't have the Stability or the Purigen so I'll check another tomorrow
Hanna, about that Purigen do I have to buy a special bag to put it in and then place it in my canister filter with the rest of the media?

Hi April, Purigen is available already in bags, or in a canister, then you need to get a bag for it.
The amazing thing is that you can recharge it after 4-5 weeks, instructions in the package, so it will be good if you can get 2 lots, so you've got a spare to be used any time.
Purigen is more expensive than other filter media, but regarding its amazing performance and the fact that it can be reused plenty of times, makes it worthwile

Hi Graham, hope you are well and thanks for asking about my little buddy
He is doing well except for that small patch still on his tail despite treating with Mela/Pimafix. The tank water is sound but still a bit cloudy and I look forward to transferring Mr. Tailer into his new tank. The new tank readings are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites, 10 nitrates and pH 7.2 Have used the Stability and Prime as directed and plan on moving him today
