what type of fish did I get?

Supposed to be Comet & 2 silkies.

They are comets with the long tails and commons with the compact tails.

They look simply GORGEOUS  Grin and so healthy and happy.
How big is your tank and what are their names?

I've never heard of a silkie fish but I suppose different areas of the world call things differently than other places would. Smiley
Hanna is right!  The longer tail fish are comets and the short tails are commons. Wink

Thank ya'll both so much. Seller called the compact Comets & the long tail were Silkies. Silky is probably a layman's term for pretty tail lol.    Didnt matter to me what they were ,my daughters were tinkled pink to finally get fish.  They are so relaxing. I'm enjoying them  a lot more than I thought I would.
Thanks for the compliment Hanna, we're proud of our little additions. Right now they're temporarily  housed in a 40 gallon tank ( its much too small  but it was ready for them, I only planned on getting 2 lol)    they have a  "vacation"  home (55 gallons)  cycling now   but  we're all excitedly waiting on  their permanent home (custom built 115 gallon). 

Their names are   Kissy   She's the sweet Comet in the front of pic  (my fave) , the other Comet is  Orange tail ( he fights his reflection its too cute),   Monster (the big boy & sweetest) ,  Princess (who I think is a boy lol)  ,  & Trink a Dink  ( he likes to dance in the bubbles) .

Crazy names I know but what can I say my daughters are 4 & 10 Smiley

AWWWWWWWWWW how lovely, as long as you keep doing regular water changes and test the water at least once a week they will be fine until their home will be ready  Cheesy
And the names are cute.... I am crazy naming all our fishies LOL

Please post pics of their custom built tank and set up when it's ready and in the meantime just keep us updated how fishies are going, what they're doing, etc

They are gorgeous goldish Cheesy Very healthy and I bet they are going to love the 115 gallon tank  Shocked Who wouldn't??
