The ones I gave advise not to keep a GF in a 1 gallon bowl and explained why. It always make me cringe and sad when people do not understand....especially after the only GF died....

That's why I haven't been replying, it makes me sad and annoyed
I know I've made my mistakes but how can any one think it is right to keep a goldfish in a bowl. Also I've never stopped trying to improve the lives of my goldfish and I know you are exactly the same. Plus you guys always cover everything before I get a chance to say anything, you're all just to good
hehe

Naaaaaaaaa, we're not too good, you are as good as the rest of our bunch on here,
we all learned from each other and of course we ALWAYS want to improve our fishies live. As they give us so much joy, we want to give them all the best we can, make their artificial environment as natural as possible, give them the best water quality, etc.
Just jump on there and say what you feel to say, it may help a little fish to have a better life.

I'm getting quite outraged at the same threads too! Is it so hard to understand the first time you're told that a 1 gallon bowl isn't for goldfish? No matter how often you change the water or how much aeration there is. Besides, it'd just be more expensive trying to keep a fish alive in something like that than to buy a proper tank |: (Unless it's a betta)

Here's another example to recognize a female goldfish. Have a close look how convex Matildas vent is, also the very stiff first ray of her ventral fin is easy to see. Sunshines is the very same.

Just in case, I wouldn't be too sure about that, Hanna, because your fish are still very young. So it's still not certain to say that it's exactly this gender. But you do have a 50/50 chance to be right
I'm not saying that it's bad that you want to figure out the genders of your fish (I do that too!!), but it's maybe not advisable to to be showing your fish as absolute certain examples, if you know what I mean d:
