Updated, New Goldfish not eating

Hey I have 4 comet goldfish I'm keeping in a 10 gallon baby tank right
now.  First off I started doing daily water changes since Friday cause these are new fish in a new tank. 

My one comet just swims in this one area near a fake plant. Now let me explain here. When I first got him, on the second day I noticed he tried taking a bite of that plant but it was to hard for him.

Long story short I think she misses the live plant that was in the tank at walmart, to eat on.  I would like to rule out balder problems for right now but I am keeping an open mind.

A few months or so I plan on upgrading to a larger tank for these guys.


Anyone's thoughts pls,

I wouldn't worry too much about the goldfish preference for real or fake plants. It will learn sooner or later than fake plants aren't real tasty and then it will ignore them. 
You pick whether or not you want fake or live plants based on your circumstances. Taking care of live plants require special lighting, fertilizer, Co2 injection in some cases, and other factors.  Not everybody has a lot of free time to dedicate to taking care of the fish and the plants at the same time.

Just my 2 cents on this subject.  Cheesy

Okay I've updated this to new goldfish not eating/ poor guy I don't think he's eating a thing
but rest of the three are doing just fine.  He just sits there wasting away.  I have taken the fake
plant away a day ago cause it was just confusing him!

walmart should of never gave these comet goldfish a plant to eat in the first place.  Now my 3 comets
are accepting the pellets okay but it seems this one is having a hard time adjusting.

Is there a way to force a goldfish to eat what I give it?  I do not want to cause him harm by keeping
him alive but if I have to...  I just don't want him to have too suffer.

hay newbie if your food is pellets try crushing them maybe its is to  big if that dosnt work try honey nut cheerios i brake them up for the little guys my fish man says its ok just what the can eat becuase uneatten food causes bacteria and alge trouble  i hope some thing helps
