You can feed goldies an almost endless diet, from broiled veggies to worms (freeze-dried bloodworms, tubifex worms, earthworms...) as well as some fruits (grapes, apples). I feed my goldies a diet that includes freeze-dried bloodworms, earthworms, kernels of corn and dethawed frozen peas (with the outer shell removed). They also love potato, houseflies (which do fall into the tank occasionally) and boiled lettuce.
I have never heard of feeding a goldfish rice! I don't believe it has much nutritional value - its much like bread, which goldfish can also eat if they have to, but contains many protiens. Brown rice would be the better choice of the two for it contains the most vitamins. Uncooked rice - those crunchy hard pellets - would not be good for certain to feed to your fish. They like their food mushy and soft. Maybe if you steam it first...but don't take my word for it, I've never tried!
