I do not only think so, I am positive.

Isn't there some chance at the newspaper, like to participate at some competition or so?
Or at the uni ?
Can you get in touch with a librarian? They may know...

I've never knew such color change in goldfish could happen like that. That's really amazing to see and know. I, too, been noticing my goldfish changing colors slowly. I got it in the end of January 2010 @ about 1.5" long in yellowish-red color, now it's 2.5" long and it's turning more like reddish color. Strange!!!

that is weird. it might be because of different lighting, different environment, different care over all Smiley I wish my fish would change colour.. Ive been noticing Tiger starting to look more yellowy gold, but maybe thats me getting my hopes up Wink

My Horus has gotten much more glowing in his rusty color since I'm feeding him color enhancing food as staple diet (: + freeze-dried worms + two other kinds of pellets ;>

In other words, what a fish eats AND the lighting (sunlight is the best) is enhancing the color of a fish very much. For instance, certain live foods contain lots of carotene which makes the colors of the fish brighter (:

I just kind of feed what looks good (and doesnt smell st*pid). I think they've grown a lot more since theyve been put into the bigger tank.

I dunno what it is, but Tiger loves to plant his mouth on the leaves. it looks like hes sucking something off of it, as I cant see any leaf damage yet

Fishies tend to eat algae off the plants actually Smiley Something that mine appreciate very much Wink There are those little marks where algae is missing on some places where they've been xD

Some do, yeah! Cheesy Moors for example turn more and more black as they grow, but sometimes when they are getting older, they're getting golden/bronze spots here and there. Some yellow and black fish turn completely yellow when they age... and some red-cap Orandas lose the red in their cap. Etc, etc c:

Goldfish can be white, but with nacreous or matte scales (=missing metallic pigment in the scales), which will make them look rather transparent white with a pinkish hue due to their lack of pigments Smiley Some calico fish may have a pinkish or blue skin tone under the red and black spots Smiley

A goldfish can't change to pink, but rather... if the fish is black, it may turn red after a few years or if it has red details on a white fish it may turn completely white, in the same way as a golden fish with black "details" would turn completely golden.

if a white fish begins to look pink it is probably sick.  Blood raising to the top of the skin will turn the fish a pink color.

Kinda like bloodshot eyes.
