Andrea,
Thanks! You have some very cute pets as well!
Yeah the dogs and cat are best friends. The cat adopted us. He was a stray kitten and starving so we took him in.
We do sell occasionally some of our guinea pigs. Some we give away as pets to the right person.
We show broken color, that means 2 or more colors with nice big patches of colors. Not all the guineas are born with the right color pattern so we sell those or give away as pets.

I once had a cat, he was a very young tom cat. I took him in off the street as the poor guy didn't have a home but a heavy chill. His eyes had discharge and his nose was full with "buggy-mans" I cleaned him with warm camomille tea, gave him warm diluted milk to drink, made him a nice place to sleep with a pillow and a small blanket to cover. After a few days he started to eat too and from then on he was attached to me like a little dog

Hehe I love cats and it's good to hear of lots of people adopting them. I know so many people who have just randomly ended up with one. I miss ours

When I was a little girl.. aww maybe not THAT little anymore... LOL... I've had 3 cats. The tomcat (mentioned above) and two female cats (mother and daughter) When they had their kittens, both at once on the same day, the mother cat and me helped her daughter to have them, as it was the first time for her. It was sooo cute, thosel lill kitten-babies

Greetings All Fish Friends,
got a few new shots ofour Goldfish bunch, thought it is lovely to watch them.
Yesteday when the lights were already out in the tank, but stil on in the kitchen I could see how they rest together, it was soooooo amazing:
you can imagine a regular triangle: Skippy on the top, then on the bottom Humphrey and Hepsiba and then in the "centre" of that imaginatory triangle the two smaller ones Matilda and Sunshine. I thought is was so cute, as if the big ones would protect the little ones

Soooo cute
They're acting like parents in preperation before they really are hehe. How is everything going with them? Everyone gets along I see, is there a boss? Oh and is there any mating behaviour? Might be a bit early, I don't really know

Hi Andrea,
how are things going? Everybody on here seems to be on holidays, LOL
Yes, fishies are doing well, they enjoy their new home, even if I had to put them through some stress with cycling. I felt so sorry for them, but as you know they HAD to be moved from the 34 l tank to the big one asap. Otherwise perhaps they would have not made it, so I chose the bad before the worse. Hubby and me did regular ( almost daily ) waterchanges and with cycle aids we managed pretty good. Fishies are wiggling like mad when we are there with them or where they can see us. They get along with each other, I think extrawell, and no, there is no boss, everybody is boss, lol
and most times they stick together. There is sort of mating behaviour, but I don't think it is serious yet, as they seem to be too youg still. Maybe in another year

I'm not on holidays, I'm back at university
Which is actually better than work so
Haha!
If anyone could have done it was you Hanna and as you can see it as worked out perfectly
It's getting to that point with Sunshine with hes tank, though she is acting fine and water quality is mainly fine, the filter gets so dirty so quickly! I'm having to change half of the filter wool stuff every week, when before I was just rinsing it every fortnight and then changing it the next. It's so lovely to hear about your tank, I thought Humphrey or Hep might be boss
I always forget they aren't as old as Sunshine.

No worries guys
we all do our best we can to keep our fishies happy, we know what to do
as we all learned from each other which is so fantastic. Also I just watch our fishies every single day, looking for things if all is fine or sth strange happening. Because even with the best care things might happen. And in that case I wanna act asap. I made it a rule for myself never to ignore unusual happenings, always watch, monitor and act if necessary asap.
Andrea, you sure can do it too if need be.
Will you be setting up a bigger tank for your Sunshine soon?

You should totally come here and buy some fish then! The shops here are full of calico fish
Mainly fantails of course, but I've seen some shubunkins and an oranda too
