Ulcers

Ulcers are infections that often start inside the fish and then manifest themselves as red ulcers and boils at the bases of the fins.

Ulcers can occur as a result of poor water quality.

i have a large gold fish with an ulcer on her side it is healing quite well and sh is now swimming around more as for the last 2-3 wks she has just stayed under the lilly pads im still very concerned as she hasnt eaten for at least two wks can she not feed for some time as im worried we may still lose her even though she looks much better. can any one please help. many thanks
