China Disease

China disease is highly contagious and has symptoms very similar to fin and tail rot. It differs from fin rot in that the disease often starts at the base of the fins and works it way toward the outer edges. There is no cure available for China disease so the infected fish should be isolated and the contaminated tank thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

My oranda Orion was infected with china disease. It was sad knowing there was no cure for the big guy. I sure miss him.
