The Jikin is also known as called the butterfly-tail goldfish. It is one of the most beautiful among the different goldfish varieties. The jikin has a unique looking caudal fin with four parts that resembles an "X" when it is viewed from the behind.
This goldfish variety can grow up to 9 inches or more in a spacious aquarium or pond. The jikin has a body that resembles that of the common goldfish, and the colors can vary from red to white.
Jikins are relatively hardy goldfish, but they are also pretty rare.
Breeding jikins with the desired traits can be a diffult task, even if the parents are well marked and come from a long established line.
